September is a month where many important moments have occurred in history, such as the creation of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History by Carter G Woodson, the Father of African American History in America. African American history is an important component of our country’s history and High Impacto likes to remember it and invite the community to remember and honor this fact.
The history of High Impacto has also been beneficially impacted by African Americans, and September is an important month for us to celebrate as well. Mr. Donovan DePass, our Minority Coordinator since 2021, is celebrating his birthday now in September. Please join us in congratulating Donovan on his birthday month! Donovan began his Prevention and care career as Outreach volunteer of the Ten Percent Society at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he got an Academic scholarship and he graduated with a degree in French/Business. In his work, Donovan has focused an interest on HIV Prevention and Treatment and is leading our programs helping African American individuals. His life has been blessed because his dearly departed mother, Mary DePass instilled in him the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Being a DJ for over 35 years has made him a lifelong fan of Donna Summer, a passion he compares to what he likes most at High Impacto: the camaraderie, dedication, and commitment to excellence from High Impacto staff and programs.
Please contact him, congratulate him on his birthday and share your needs and challenges in accessing health services. You can do it through our phone 954-947-3603 or our email info@highimpacto.org Donovan will help you be a part of this exciting opportunity for African Americans to get the right health services, including sexual health and health insurance.
